Ubuntu Launched online Academy

On Friday night, July 28, 2023, the Ubuntu Online Academy, a free learning platform, was publicly launched at the British Council in Accra.

The goal of the programme is to give young people who love sports the tools they need to do well outside of their passion.

The people who came up with the idea for Football For Dreamers are an innovative family from the US-based sports charity. Its president, Mrs Sylvia Akwaboah, and co-founders Baruch and Jed Akwaboah came up with the idea.

Mrs. Akwaboah said that the free programmes at the Ubuntu Online Academy will help young people with ability start their own businesses so they can support themselves and spend time with their loved ones in comfort.

She said that Ubuntu will make it possible for people to work in many different areas and close the gap between the rich and the poor.

She said that her dream launch was made possible by the appearance of young sportsmen and women as well as accountants, lawyers, doctors, architects, engineers, and businessmen from all walks of life.

At the event, which was well-attended, there was also a short dramatic sketch that showed how frustrated young people are about getting jobs. A chit chat conversation revealed many ideas, precautions, advices, and suggestions that young people can use to live on and reach their dreams and goals.

Some of the people on the group are Mr. Nhyira Addo, Mr. Mark Addo, Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, Madam Phyllis Addo, a nutritionist who now sells solar energy, and others.

Soccer For Dreamers is a New Jersey-registered 501(c)(3) charity organisation. This lets them keep doing good things for people through the wonderful sport of football on an even bigger scale.

If you can, it would be very helpful if you could give to the good cause.

"I am because you are" is what the South African word "ubuntu" means.
