Don't Allow Him To Use Your Platform To Curse The President: Titus-Glover Warns Radio XYZ

Former Member of Parliament, Daniel Nii Kwetei Titus-Glover has urged Radio XYZ management to call one of their broadcast journalists, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, to order.

His call comes after the station offered libations on a live broadcast to curse President Akufo-Addo.

He said if the management of the pro-National Democratic Congress (NDC) radio station was aloof and allowed the journalist to behave like that, then they must be behind it.

Mr Titus-Glover also extended his call to Otumfour Osei-Tutu II, claiming that the journalist in question was a chief in the king's kingdom.

He also called on the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), the National Media Commission (NMC) and the West Africa Media Foundation to intervene in the matter.

He insisted that he wasn't opposed to the idea of ​​Okatakyie criticizing the president, but that offering libations and cursing him was simply not okay.

The former MP posed this challenge on Tuesday's Asempa Eko sii sen Political Talk Show when he submitted his contribution as a panellist.

However, Okatakyie called out on the program to insist that he had not broken any law as the 1992 constitution gives him the right to practice any religion of his choice.
