Okoe Boye pointed out that the government is fully aware of the economic tensions among the citizenry and doing everything possible to lessen the situation.

He ensured the citizens that the President hasn't gone to sleep but worked assiduously to ensure the high prices of petroleum commodities coupled with high prices in products as a result of the cedi to dollar rate and the fact that Ghana doesn't refine its fuel, are all fixed to bring big relief to Ghanaians.

He begged the populace to be patient with the Akufo-Addo administration.

"We understand when petrol prices go up, it implicates everything but we plead with you that since we don't refine it here like we produce water, and cassava here but rather buy it from abroad, they rising it will affect us," he stressed.

Nonetheless, precisely as President Akufo-Addo once said, we want to ensure you that this too shall pass," he added.
