“Separate Parliamentary Aspirant Campaign From Flagbearership Race” - Catherine Afeku To NPP.

Catherine Afeku, a former minister of state in the office of the president and member of parliament for the Evalue Gwira constituency, has cautioned parliamentary candidates against soliciting ballots by attaching the images of presidential candidates to their own.

According to her, it is more appropriate to convey your campaign messages to delegates than to entice them with images of candidates.

She stated that delegates vote based on vision and message, so parliamentary candidates should market themselves to voters without attaching presidential candidates, as we have yet to determine who will become our standard-bearer and president.

In an exclusive interview with Samuel Eshun on the Happy Morning Show on Happy98.9Fm, the Former Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture expressed confidence that the NPP delegates would not make an unforgivable error by electing anyone other than Mr. Kyeremanten, who has been chosen by the people to lead the NPP to victory in the 2024 election.

"Three regions, a cluster, and a durbar for delegates have been completed, and they have agreed that Alan's turn has come."

She pleaded with the New Patriotic Party's General Secretary to warn candidates against using images of flagbearers because "it is a total violation of the party's constitution."
