In Bibiani-Sehwi Bekwai Highway Crash, Taxi Driver Killed, Others Injured.

Wednesday night, an accident on the Bibiani-Sehwi Bekwai highway claimed the life of one individual.

A driver who has yet to be identified was in control of an Opel Astra taxi cab with the registration number As-5163-W and four passengers as it travelled from Diaso to Bibiani at approximately 23:45.

According to an eyewitness, when the deceased driver reached the section of road between Sehwi Adukrom and Sehwi Dominibo No.2, he collided with a stationary Shacman articulated vehicle carrying sand that had developed a mechanical fault and was parked.

All of the passengers sustained severe injuries and were rushed to Sehwi Anwhiaso community hospital, where the driver was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

The body has been brought to the same hospital mortuary for identification and preservation.

With the assistance of Kwame Gyasi, the driver of the stationary articulated lorry, arrangements are being made to tow the vehicle to a safer location for testing purposes.
