Woman Bathed With Hot Soup Over Ghc20 At Assin Asamanankese.

A 48-year-old woman was bathed in boiling soup for owing 20 Cedis in Assin Asamankese, Assin South District, Central Region, Ghana.

According to the victim, Adwoa Ketsewa, she obtained 20 Cedis worth of fish on credit from a fish vendor in order to feed her family.

Three days later, the fish vendor from Assin Achiase, Ekua Dermaa, went to the victim's home in a rage to demand 20 Cedis.

According to the victim, she did not have any cash on her when the woman demanded it, so she told her to leave and that she would pay the following day.

In an interview, the victim stated that the fish vendor seized the hot palm nut soup she was preparing on fire and poured it over her body after negotiations with her did not go well.

The suspect ran to the victim's residence after pouring scalding palm nut soup on her.

The victim, who cried for assistance, was taken to the hospital by people from the neighbouring residence.

The incident was reported to the Assin Manso Police Station, but the suspect has not yet been apprehended.



In the meantime, the Victim is appealing to the general public for assistance so she can care for herself in the hospital.
