“You’re King And Gad Of Where?” - Shatta Wale Opens Fire On Bitter Rivals Sarkodie And Stonebwoy.

Shatta Wale condemns the practise of Ghanaian artists bestowing themselves with superfluous titles, despite having been crowned dancehall monarch himself many years ago.

In an interview with Giovani Caleb, Wale stated that Ghanaian artists focus on meaningless monikers to give themselves status rather than going out and gaining that status through excellent music.

Wale compared his music to Nigerian music as he criticised his fellow A-listers Sarkodie and Stonebwoy.

He stated that Nigerian musicians have no interest in competition and strive to be the greatest at their craft.

Wale asserted that our artists in Ghana spend all of their time battling amongst themselves, which manifests itself in everyone attempting to outdo the other by naming themselves kings and gads.

"A king from where?" he exclaimed in surprise.

Wale stated that Nigerians are focused on making excellent music, whereas Ghanaians are focused on competition, which leads them astray.

Ironically, almost everything Wale says pertains directly to himself. Who in Africa initiates unnecessary beef (competition) more than Wale?
