I II Campaign and Vote For Bawumia in 2024- Fred Kyei Mensah

Well-known music producer Fred Kyei Mensah has openly declared his support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the party’s presidential candidate.

Kyei Mensah stated on Wednesday in a Facebook post that he thought Dr. Bawumia would do better than former President John Mahama and that he intended to actively run for Vice President in the next general elections in 2024.

“In 2024, my alliance is with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and I will campaign for him,” he declared in his Facebook statement.

The music producer, who is recognized for creating the well-known hit song “Cobra” by Obaapa Christy, reminisced about his political adventure, which began in 1992, in a post. He made a point of highlighting his affiliation with a number of political parties, including providing gasoline to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and actively supporting the campaigns of Dr. Busia, Victor Owusu, Atta Mills, Nana Akufo-Addo, and JA Kufuor.

In addition to writing jingles for the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and founding the Creative Arts for Change organization to back the NPP, Fred Kyei Mensah was also politically involved.

In anticipation of potential criticism, he urged his followers to respect his political choice, stating, “Be circumspect when you come on my Facebook wall during my political mood. Will not spare you if you try to disrespect me. I am black and white.”

With his announcement, Fred Kyei Mensah gives the political scene a significant voice, and his resolve to vigorously advocate for Dr. Bawumia suggests that momentum is building for the 2024 elections.
