THE NPP HAS DECLARES MASSIVE SHOWDOWN ON NDC AS BAWUMIA UNITED WITH KENNEDY AGYAPONG AHEAD OF 2024 POLLS

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong Forge Alliance after Secret Meeting
In a significant development for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his closest contender in the recent Presidential Primaries, Kennedy Agyapong, have joined forces ahead of the 2024 polls. The duo, after a secret meeting over the weekend, have resolved to collaborate closely, vowing to break the eight-year cycle and secure victory for the NPP.

According to reports, Vice President Bawumia, accompanied by members of his campaign team, convened at the residence of businessman Kennedy Agyapong to discuss crucial matters in preparation for the upcoming elections. The leaders pledged to work harmoniously, emphasizing the importance of party unity and cohesion.

Former National Organiser of the NPP, Mr. Sammi Awuku, shared insights into the meeting, posting images on social media and describing the gathering as a “Great moment! Great vibes! Great interaction.” While details of the discussions remain undisclosed, Awuku highlighted the fruitful nature of the deliberations, underscoring the uniqueness of the NPP and its tradition.

“We had fruitful deliberations, and I can tell you that Dr. Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong are battle-ready to give the NDC a showdown in 2024,” revealed Awuku in a statement to the press.

Kennedy Agyapong, despite his defeat in the primaries, affirmed his commitment to supporting the party’s chosen candidate. Addressing party supporters at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 4, 2023, Agyapong declared, “I pledge my support that we are going to work tirelessly to break the eight.” He urged party members to unite, emphasizing that with solidarity, the NPP could achieve victory in 2024.

Expressing satisfaction with the integrity of the polls, Agyapong stated, “Indeed it is a great day today. I believe the party has been fair and transparent.” The Electoral Commission, announcing the certified results of the primaries on November 4, reported that Dr. Bawumia secured 61.47% of the votes, surpassing Agyapong who garnered 37.41%.

With this newfound alliance between the two influential figures, the NPP appears poised to present a formidable front in the upcoming elections, setting the stage for a potential showdown with the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
