Patoranking Foundation Building Communities And Changing Lives Across Africa

Giving brilliant minds from low-income families the opportunity to study by providing financial aid and support for those who need it most.

EBONYI STATE, NIGERIA

There are 5 schools that the foundation currently works with in Ebonyi State where Patoranking is originally from. 169 children in total: Evangel (15 kids), Crown Child (32kids), Zion Kiddies (50 kids and 2 have graduated), Good Foundation (68 kids), Urban Boys/Girls (11 kids). All are within primary and Secondary schools.

AFRICAN LEADERSHIP UNIVERSITY (ALU) PATORANKING SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Exceptional leaders and change-makers can come from anywhere. Financial constraints should not prevent the next great African disruptor from gaining the tools, skill-sets and networks to bring their innovations to life.

Therefore award-winning Nigerian dancehall artist Patoranking has partnered with the ​African Leadership University​ to launch the ALU Patoranking Scholarship. Having overcome financial adversity in his own journey of impact, Patoranking now wants to help unleash more entrepreneurial leaders who will bring positive change to their countries and the continent.



This Scholarship will enable the most promising young leaders from across the continent to study at Africa’s most innovative university, whatever their financial resources or background.



Patoranking searched for 9 young African students from 9 different African counties who have showed impact in their communities, to be the inaugural ALU Patoranking Scholars.



The ALU Patoranking Scholarship fully covers education and accommodation expenses for the selected beneficiaries to attend the African Leadership University, studying at either its Mauritius or Rwanda Campuses - started in September 2020. To qualify, Scholarship Applicants need to have a showed history of innovation and impact within their communities and come from a lower-income background.



This scholarship is for:

• An inspiring current high-school entrepreneurial leader;

• Actively making an impact in his/her community;

• Despite adversity/overcoming the challenges faced in low-income communities.



He looked for resilient, driven, innovative, creative, mission-driven young students who have showed impact in their communities.

EBUTE METTA

The Patoranking foundation has been working on building its first turf in Ebute Metta, a neighborhood in Lagos where Patoranking grew up. The plan is to build more turfs across the many communities across Africa next year and beyond.
