Persistent Adidome SHS shows class as they come from behind to win their NSMQ contest

Adidome Senior High School showed their determination by winnning their first contest after a thrilling contest with SDA and Notre Dame Stem SHS. The school is situated at the Central Tongu in the Volta Region of Ghana.

The first round saw Adisec trailing by 10 points with 8 points compared to 18 points each by SDA and Notre Dame.

End of Round 1

SDA SHS, Agona: 18pts
Notre Dame Seminary SHS: 18pts
Adidome SHS: 8pts

The second round was entertaining as they closed the gap with 4 points difference compared to SDA who was leading with 21 points and 2 points difference from Notre Dame Sem SHS who was second with 19 points.

SDA SHS, Agona: 21pts
Notre Dame Seminary SHS: 19pts
Adidome SHS: 17pts

Adidome SHS topped the third round by scoring 5 points from the problem of the day compared to SDA’s 3 and Notre Dame Sem SHS 2.

Notre Dame Seminary SHS: 2/10
Adidome SHS: 5/10

At the end of the 4th round, Adidome SHS got almost all their answers correct giving them a 1 point lead in the competition.

SDA SHS, Agona: 37pts
Notre Dame Seminary SHS: 31pts

The come back was complete when SDA got 1 and lost 1 during the last round which was the riddle. Adidome SHS however lost 1 and got 2 riddles correct securing a gargantuan win to book their qualification to the 1/8th stage of the competition.

SDA and Notre Dame Sem SHS will now hope they will among the high scoring schools to book their place in the next round.
