The cedi is performing better than 2014-2016 - Ken Ofori Atta to critics

The finance minister Ken Ofori Atta has replied to Ghanaians complaining about the performance of the Ghana cedi during his address to the nation.

According to the Finance Minister, “The cedi has held on better than 2014-2016 because the fundamentals are better”, he said during the briefing. The Ghana cedi in recent times has been struggling against the dollar.



Angry Ghanaians have already called on the self-acclaimed economic messiah, Vice president Dr. Bawumia after he famously dragged the NDC administration a few years back with his famous quote “If the fundamentals are weak, the exchange rate will expose you”.

The exchange rate is already running and Ghanaians can’t find him to arrest the cedi. The finance minister’s address was to tell Ghanaians efforts and measures put in place by the government to reduce the sufferings in the country currently.
