Mom thought her baby was stung by an insect, until she took a closer look and boldly called for help

Every parent knows that young children love to play outside. Kids love to be outside, where they can run and play without worrying about anyone else.

Sometimes, bad things can happen right in your own backyard. Even though we want our kids to be carefree, we have to be aware of the dangers they could face. Elizabeth thought her 3-year-old son Christopher got stung by a wasp while he was playing outside. Sad to say, that did not happen at all. The boy's brave mother got closer and saw that his body was turning blue. She called for help right away.

She didn't think anything too bad would happen when the 3-year-old ran to his mother. She had no idea that one of the most exciting things in her life was about to happen. She was thinking about the day that her whole life changed while she and her boys were visiting family.

Then he started to cry a little and sat down on my lap. She said that we thought he had either been stung by a wasp or hurt himself on a branch. Even though it was wildlife, the thing he had walked on was much worse than a wasp. She would soon realize that he had only been bitten and not hurt.

Ten minutes after the boy cried his way onto his mother's lap, his foot began to swell and turn blue. The mother called 911 at that point. "Both the helicopter and the ambulance got there right away. When we went to the hospital, they kept saying it was a bite from a viper snake "what the mom said. After getting antivenin quickly, the boy at first seemed to be getting better, but then he suddenly got worse.

He was turning blue and had bruises all over his body. His intestines had also started to bleed, and the bruises that had started on his foot and ankle were about to spread to the rest of his body.

When doctors measured the boy's blood volume, it was less than half of what it should have been, and he quickly went from 44 pounds to 33 pounds.

He had to fight for his life because of one mistake. After being in the hospital for almost two weeks, the boy was finally well enough to go home. His mother said that, even though he won, it was very hard for him.
