Nogokpo’s deadline for Agyinasare elapsed as Ghanaians wonder what happens next

Today marks the end of the two-week ultimatum given by the chiefs and elders of Nogokpo to Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, the founder and leader of Perez Chapel International. The ultimatum was issued in response to the Archbishop's sermon during the Supernatural Summit held in May. During his sermon, Agyinasare spoke about divine protection and evil forces, sharing an incident of spiritual attacks experienced by his team after a crusade in the Volta Region.

The chiefs of Nogokpo expressed their disappointment and demanded the Archbishop's presence for peace talks. They accused him of making derogatory remarks about Nogokpo, referring to it as the "demonic headquarters of the Volta Region." The chiefs emphasized the historical significance of Nogokpo, where Ghana's first President sought divine assistance during the struggle for independence.

The ultimatum aimed to foster dialogue and reconciliation between Agyinasare and the community. However, as the deadline approaches, no talks have been publicly held between both parties. Recent social media posts indicate that the Archbishop has been in the US on official duties, including meetings with officials of the US President's administration.

Meanwhile, Ghanaians are curious about the next steps following the expiration of the deadline. The National Peace Council has urged both parties to remain calm and refrain from further commentaries. The Council emphasized that if the issue is not addressed properly, it could negatively impact peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance in the country. They advised the feuding parties to seek an amicable redress.

In conclusion, the deadline set by the chiefs of Nogokpo for Archbishop Agyinasare has elapsed, and the people of Nogokpo eagerly await the religious leader's response. The National Peace Council has called for calm and encouraged both parties to pursue a peaceful resolution to the dispute.
