SHS Student Stabbed To Death By Boyfriend At Akyem-Nsutem

In a tragic incident at the New Nsutam Senior High Technical School in the Abuakwa-North District of the Eastern Region, an 18-year-old student named Abigail Asare has lost her life in a shocking manner. According to reports, Abigail, who was in her second year at the school and hailed from Accra, visited her boyfriend Emeka, who is said to be from Togo, on the morning of Friday, June 2, 2023, shortly after leaving school for the mid-term holidays.

Unfortunately, things took a devastating turn when Emeka reportedly left the shop they were in, leaving Abigail behind. Moments later, a customer who came to the shop noticed Abigail's lifeless body lying on the floor, drenched in blood from multiple stab wounds.

Deeply disturbed by the distressing sight, the eyewitness immediately contacted the Akyem-Nsutem police, who in turn informed the Kyebi police. The Kyebi Divisional Police Command swiftly responded to the scene to commence investigations. In order to preserve the body and conduct an autopsy, the police transported Abigail's lifeless remains to the Kyebi Government Hospital.

Meanwhile, the prime suspect, Emeka, has fled the community, evading capture as a subsequent search of his residence proved fruitless. The circumstances that transpired within the shop leading to the suspect's violent act remain unclear at this point.
