A retired teacher named Philip Osei found himself in a difficult situation after attempting to engage in a sexual relationship with his best friend's wife in the Bibiani Anhweaso Bekwai municipality of the Western North Region. The incident has garnered attention, leading the local chiefs and elders to take action.

They imposed a substantial fine on Osei, demanding he pay GH¢2,000.00, along with a sheep, a bottle of schnapps, a crate of eggs, and other items as restitution to his friend Nana Ibrahim and his wife. After careful consideration, the traditional leaders found Osei guilty of the offense and levied the appropriate penalty. Initially, Osei was handed over to the local police for investigation, but they later released him to the chiefs for resolution.

It is worth mentioning that Nana Ibrahim Addae, the woman's husband, reportedly expressed contentment with the chiefs' verdict and the compensation provided. This incident serves as a reminder of the consequences that can arise from betraying the trust of a friend and violating the boundaries of a marriage.
