AMERI: You’re An Energized Liar Suffering Constipation - Gabby Replies Boakye Agyarko

Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, the cousin of President Akufo-Addo, responded indirectly to Boakye Agyarko, a candidate for the presidency of the New Patriotic Party.

Gabby called Boakye Agyarko a "Energised Liar" for a succession of allegations made against him during the renegotiation of the 250 Megawatts Ameri Power Plant when he was the Minister for Energy.

What aaaa can one say to a constipated, energised liar? This week, Gabby responded to the allegations on the social networking website Facebook.

Boakye Agyarko alleged in a viral interview on Kumasi's Asanteman FM that Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko unilaterally renegotiated the Ameri agreement without the approval of the government committee tasked with working on the deal.

He added that when he confronted Gabby about the issue, Gabby told him to keep silent because President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was already aware of the actions he had taken.

Agyarko stated he was en route to the United States when Gabby summoned him.

"I told him I was travelling on a flight. Then he (Gabby) informed me that he was emailing me a document that I should review. When I arrived safely and checked into my hotel room, I accessed my email to view the document. "To my surprise, Gabby had contracted a law firm to negotiate with Ameri Energy Group, recommended a certain company to operate the Ameri Power Plant, and extended the contract to 20 years, all without the knowledge of the Committee set up and approved by the President to renegotiate with Ameri Energy Group," said the president.

"I sent Gabby an email inquiring about his authority to do that. And I informed him that Cabinet had issued specific instructions, to which he replied, "What makes you think my boss (President Akufo-Addo) doesn't know what you've done?"So I remained silent," he added.

The former energy minister stated that when he discussed the matter with President Akufo-Addo, the president asked him whether Gabby's actions were improper.

Boakye Agyarko stated that he informed the president, "Gabby does not have the authority to renegotiate the terms of the Ameri Power Plant, and that the firm he contracted violated all Cabinet instructions by extending the contract to 20 years."
