Akufo-Addo’s Government Is The Worse In Ghana’s History - KKD

Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, also known as KKD, a prominent Ghanaian broadcaster, has criticised the Akufo-Addo administration for numerous infractions.

Speaking on Dwaboase on TV XYZ, the brand expert stated categorically that President Akufo-Addo has lowered the country's standards of governance, which has a negative impact on the economy and the people.

According to him, the appointees of the current government under Akufo-Addo have become the exact opposite of what they vehemently criticised while in opposition, and deceit has become the norm.

KKD responded to the corruption scandal that led to Cecelia Dapaah's resignation as Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources.

Madam Dapaah has recently been in the news after rumours circulated that her domestic employees stole large sums of money from her bedroom.

According to the Chronicle newspaper, $1 million, €300,000, and millions of cedis were allegedly taken from the home of a prominent politician in Abelemkpe, an Accra suburb in the Greater Accra region.

Kwasi Kyei Darkwah believes that other government officials, like Cecilia Dapaah, have hidden money in their chambers due to the normalisation of corruption under the Akufo-Addo administration.

He questioned where Cecilia Dapaah obtained these funds and urged the Office of the Special Prosecutor to investigate the matter exhaustively.

KKD expressed his disappointment with President Akufo-Addo for accepting Dapaah's resignation at a time when she should have been investigated. He hastened to add that the president's behaviour demonstrated that corruption has become the norm in his administration, making it the worst in Ghana's history.

"This is the worst government in the history of my country Ghana," he raged as he recounted how Akufo-Addo reprimanded the Mahama administration for far less grievous offences.

"Before this government, Ghanaians were angry about the corruption we were witnessing; we saw doves flying and we didn't like it because the opulence was unprecedented; Ghanaians were angry because someone in power had given his brother lucrative contracts, but now we are witnessing worse," lamented KKD.
