The Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkonoo, has denied Richard Jakpa's request to have the case transferred from the court of Justice Afia Serwaa Asare-Botwe in the trial involving minority leader Ato Forson.
A request was made to the Chief Justice after an incident between the trial judge and Richard Jakpa transpired during a court session.
Mr Jakpa, a businessman, exploded in court when he was denied access to the lavatory.
After the encounter, Mr. Jakpa expressed displeasure and petitioned the Chief Justice to administratively reassign the case.
However, in a letter read in court on Thursday, acting Chief Justice Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Torkonoo denied the request.
