Mahama Will Face Difficulty If NPP Wish Assin North By-Elections - Ben Ephson

Pollster Ben Ephson believes that if the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) wins the impending by-election in Assin North, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, John Dramani Mahama, will have a difficult time regaining the presidency.

If the NPP wins in Assin North, it will be a "done deal" for them to "break the 8," according to him.

Ben Ephson explained in an interview with the morning program 'Ghana Montie' on NEAT FM that Mr. Mahama will not have a campaign message in his bid to become president. "It will be difficult for him (Mr. Mahama) to campaign against the NPP if the NPP prevails.

Assin North will reveal whether or not the NPP has performed well, he noted. Ben Ephson, a controversial pollster, is very optimistic that the NPP will win the impending by-election in Assin North. He supported Charles Opoku, the NPP candidate, to defeat James Gyakye Quayson, the NDC candidate. He explained that Mr. Quayson won the 2020 elections in significant part due to his Assin Bereku ancestry.
