Meet Cecilia Dapaah’s Millionaire Husband; Architect Of 55Yrs Experience

Daniel Osei Kufour, the spouse of Cecilia Abena Dapaah, the resigned Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, is a multimillionaire architect with over 50 years of experience, according to an investigation.

The accomplished architect who is a Fellow of the Ghana Institute of Architects and is rumoured to be a millionaire married Cecilia Abena Dapaah over 37 years ago.

As the Lead Architect of Kufuor, Sohne and Partners, Daniel Osei Kufuor is rumoured to be the mastermind behind the Silver Star Towers building in Accra's Airport City and the College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Documents seen by MyNewsGh.com indicated that these ventures alone brought him and his partners over $9,000,000.

The husband of Cecilia Abena Dapaah is also responsible for the Chinese Embassy's new Chancellery Block in Accra and the Russian Embassy's building in Accra, which each gave the firm $5 million.

In addition, he designed and constructed portions of the Tamale Teaching Hospital and the Danish and Canadian embassies in Accra.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he began studying architecture at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 1964 and graduated with a BSc in Architecture in 1967.

In 1969, he earned a Master of Science in Architecture from the same institution.

Background

This follows the scandal surrounding the alleged theft of multiple foreign and local currencies from the Kufours' residence by a housekeeper. She resigned from her position.

Madam Dapaah stated in her resignation letter to the President that she decided to step down "because I do not want this matter to become a government preoccupation and a hindrance to government work at such a crucial time."

On Friday, July 21, it was revealed that two housekeepers of the Minister were facing accusations before an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly stealing $1 million, €300,000, and millions of Ghanaian cedis in October 2022 from the former minister's residence in Abelenkpe, Accra.

Patience Botwe, age 18, and Sarah Agyei, age 30, are accused of stealing the couple's money and personal belongings between July and October 2022.

Both have been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit a crime and five counts of theft one million dollars, three hundred thousand euros, and millions of Ghana cedis.
