Shatta Wale Sympathezis With Vybz Cartel

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., professionally known as Shatta Wale, has written a touching letter to Jamaican musician Adidja Azim Palmer a.k.a. Vybz Kartel, who is serving a life sentence at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre in Jamaica for a series of murders.

According to a report by Fox5NY, the Jamaican musician detained in 2011 has been afflicted with Graves' Disease for seven years, which, combined with his two alleged heart conditions, has rendered his current situation "life-threatening."

In praising his colleague's contribution to the global music industry, Shatta Wale stated that his melodies have the power to heal, inspire, and transport individuals to locations where their spirits can find solace.

Vybz Kartel was apprehended in September 2011 and released on bail for the murder of Jamaican businessman Barrington Burton.

In the same year, he was charged with the murder of another man, Clive Williams. On March 13, 2014, after a 65-day trial, he was declared guilty and sentenced to life in prison.

Fever, Summer Time, Romping Shop, Wine to the Top, Thank You Jah, Unstoppable, Happy Pum Pum, and Bicycle Ride are well-known Vybz Kartel compositions.
