Suspension Of Yaw Danso Have Affected Developmental Projects In Bosome Freho

Maxwell De-graft Boakye, assembly member for Morontuo in the Bosome Freho district, is dissatisfied with the delays in the implementation of development projects in the area caused by Yaw Danso's suspension as district chief executive.

He laments the ineffectiveness of the assembly's discussions on development initiatives due to the absence of a chief executive.

"Even as an assembly member whose office is the assembly, where we can go to discuss developmental issues, since there is no District Chief Executive, with whom would you hold a meeting to discuss developmental projects?" he questioned.

Mr. Danso was suspended on October 15, 2022, allegedly due to a leaked recording of him engaging in unlawful mining.

According to Mr. Boakye, the Ashanti Regional Minister, who was delegated to act in the absence of Mr. Danso, has not visited the district.

"We do not have a DCE, and the Regional Minister operating as caretaker has never set foot in the district. "We have no one to turn to for any type of development project in the Bosome Freho district," he declared.

Nana Kwadwo Jantuah, presenter of Kuro Yi Mu Nsem on Nhyira FM, was informed by the assembly member that the state of Bosome Freho's development is in shambles and that a new DCE should be appointed.

Mr. Boakye also indicated that Mr. Danso still possesses the DCE's official vehicle.

"Even though he has been suspended as District Chief Executive of Bosome Freho, the Honorable Yaw Danso is still driving a government vehicle," he asserted.
