A terrible crush claims the life of a pregnant nurse with a "large heart" a few days before Christmas.

Eve Brown, a Scottish woman, was shown grinning at her baby shower just a few days before she tragically lost her life in a collision between her Kia Sorento and a Tesco HGV truck earlier this week.
A week before Christmas, a pregnant nurse with the most "beautiful smile" and a "large heart" unfortunately passed away in a car accident.

When Eve Brown, 41, of Bellshill, Scotland, lost control of her Kia Sorento and crashed with a Tesco HGV lorry on the M8, close to Hermiston Gait, on Monday, she was nine months pregnant. Despite the fact that emergency personnel arrived quickly, the mother of the two small girls—ages three and four—was tragically declared dead. Currently, it's unknown if her unborn child survived.

According to Daily Record, the mother was spotted celebrating her baby shower with loved ones just two days prior when the heartbreaking news broke. A number of party photos showed the NHS employee grinning and posing with her growing baby belly. She was wearing a sparkly blue dress.

Her friends have subsequently expressed heartfelt condolences, sharing their shock. According to Udoka Chinwe, "How do we say goodbye? How do we say, Peace be with you?

"After your baby shower was enjoyed by your friends and family, you were taken from us. Please give us one more hug. One more dance, please? You never said anything negative. I cherish you."

"She wasn't just a woman, she was a woman with a large heart," Somto Christabel Emy-Amaugo stated. My heart aches. How do you have your grand baby shower on the sixteenth and leave on the eighteenth? I shall miss your amazing voice, which sounds like opera music, your praising sessions, your contagious laughter, your exuberant demeanor, and your most charming grin.

"Thank you for being so kind to us in the short time you passed through our lives. I will remember you Lady Eve." Emma Reynolds wrote: "Rest in peace Eve. Sending my love & healing to your daughters."

The local community has rallied around Eve's family to offer them support in the run up to Christmas. Charity Dashing Hounds Bellshill is organising collections for the donation of presents and clothes for Eve's two young children. They said: "Eve is survived by her two young girls aged three and four. We desperately want to help this family as they come to terms with the devastating and tragic loss of their mum, sister and daughter.

"With Christmas just a few days away, the family would be extremely grateful and appreciative of any assistance in the form of toys, clothing, food, or donations of any kind. I understand that things are difficult, especially this time of year, but if you or anybody you know can help, please message me privately, and I will get in touch to set up pickups or drops."

While a thorough accident investigation was conducted, the route where Eve was murdered remained closed for more than nine hours. Police Scotland officers are currently urging anyone who has dashcam footage from the area to contact them.
Road Policing Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick stated: "We are praying for the surviving family of the deceased woman. We are still investigating the circumstances surrounding this collision, so if you were on the motorway and saw the crash, please get in touch with us. I would also encourage anyone who has a dash cam or other recording device to look over their film to see if there is anything that could help us.

If you have any information, please call Police Scotland at 101 and mention incident number 0761 from December 18, 2023. Tesco has been contacted by The Mirror for comment.
