Ultimately, Electrochem's efforts to get the government to reimburse the Ada people for their ground rent have been successful.
This is the first time in this nation's history that a government has given Ada ground rent. It is noteworthy that royalties will be paid shortly after ground rent, totaling GHC1,250,000, has been received.
The 41,000 acres of land that Electrochem Ghana Limited is leasing will be strictly divided among the clans whose communities are included in the ground rent that was received. This is obviously a selfless act of love to the Ada people by McDan, the development head of Ada, who is apparently
more focused on Ada's needs and desires than his own. Ada will yield with abundant happiness since the government is now paying the ground rent and will be providing royalties.
Through its brave Community and Social Responsibility programs, Electrochem will continue to demonstrate its unwavering civility and kindness, especially to the women and children of Ada. It will also remain open to a select few ill-willed individuals who oppose the expansion of Electrochem Ghana Limited in Ada.
