During the raid, an armed robber who was high on strong narcotics was apprehended.
He was reportedly taken into custody at approximately 8:30 a.m. following a distress call that the police got from the Seriki Sabo neighborhood of Sagamu, reporting that an armed robber from a one-man gang had tried to take Isa Ado's phone from him.

It was reported that Ado set off the alarm, causing the suspect to run into the bush.
The suspect was apprehended when the police set up a perimeter and searched the area. The suspect had one small, locally made AK-47 handgun and one spent cartridge.

The police stated that due to his “high influence of hard drugs,” Hassan could not be questioned and would now be sent to the State Criminal inquiry Department for additional inquiry.
