Chasing a recalcitrant bird has claimed the life of an unfortunate man.
In the Kasoa Opeikuma hamlet in the Awutu Senya East Municipality, Central Region of Ghana, a building that was not yet finished collapsed on 59-year-old Peter Owusu, causing his early death.
According to reports, the man was attempting to drive away a bird that kept coming to the building and howling from 11:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
The widow of the dead told Isaac Opoku Mensah, the pastor of Deeper Life Church's Kasoa Branch, that her late husband first hurled a stone at the bird, which caused it to momentarily fly away.
After about five minutes, it came back. Mr. Owusu ascended the building, determined to get rid of the bird, but sadly, it fell unexpectedly, taking his tragically early life.
