The 19-year-old female was arrested after setting her boyfriend's bed on fire as she was sleeping with her new partner and their child.

A Memphis, Tennessee lady was taken into custody by police on Friday after it was reported that she had burned her ex-boyfriend's bed in March while he, her new partner, and their infant were sleeping.

Police say that Derica Wiggins, 19, purposefully lit the bed on fire. As a result, she has been charged with aggravated assault and arson, according to WREG, a local television station.

The girlfriend claimed that immediately after hearing the sound of a lighter outside and saw someone peering through a crack in the bedroom door, she woke up to find the bed on fire.

The boyfriend managed to put out the fire before firefighters arrived at the house, and none of the victims suffered any injuries. In the driveway, he faced Wiggins.
The news site claims that the fire caused some damages in the bedroom. Police claim that Wiggins was captured on ring camera footage entering and exiting the residence.

According to jail documents, the 19-year-old is also accused with careless burning and setting fire to personal property. She is being held at Shelby County jail on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear before a judge on Monday.
