Two people killed in an accident; a national security truck is on fire

A motorbike and a National Security Cocoa Taskforce Isuzu vehicle that was pursuing a possible Toyota Vitz with registration number AP 528-20 that was transporting sacks of dried cocoa beans from Dodi-Papase to Kadjebi collided.
The rider, a 21-year-old football player for the Oti Warriors, a Division Two team in the Oti Region, died instantly as a result of the incident.

Paulette Arlowe, a 22-year-old football player on the same team, was taken to St. Mary Theresa Hospital in Dodi-Papase after suffering several injuries, but he passed away later.

Their corpses are kept at the hospital mortuary.

The youth of Koto-Nkwanta, an agricultural hamlet in the Kadjebi District, were enraged by the accident, which was caused by the National Security Cocoa Taskforce truck, and set the car on fire.

Peter Agblah's brother, Mr. David Agblah, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the tragic event happened when the late brother was traveling from Kadjebi to their hometown, Yadzo.
When reached by GNA, Superintendent Gyan-Mante Frempong, the Commander of the Kadjebi District Police, acknowledged the accident and stated that investigations were in progress.

Following the accident on Monday, December 25 at approximately 20:48 hours, Koto-Nkwanta and the neighboring communities were placed under a state of mourning.
