Bishop Daniel Obinim aka Angel Obinim has recently revealed that the decline of his church can be attributed to the clash he had with NPP’s Kennedy Agyapong.

The startling revelation came during a TikTok live session in which Bishop Obinim opened up about the aftermath of his public dispute with the outspoken politician.

According to Bishop Obinim, the conflict with Kennedy Agyapong, which played out in the public sphere, led to the collapse of his church.

In the TikTok session, the religious leader shared insights into what happened between him and Kennedy Agyapong.

He emphasised the unforeseen consequences of engaging in a verbal feud with the Member of Parliament.

Bishop Obinim acknowledged that Kennedy Agyapong initiated the conflict, and initially, he underestimated the potential impact it could have on his church.

Believing it to be a spiritual battle, the bishop admitted to ignoring divine warnings against escalating the feud.

Bishop Obinim admitted, “When I assessed my strength, I could have beaten Kennedy Agyapong and still have more energy in me, but not knowing my strength had to do with spiritual strength, and he was fighting me in the physical realm where he was more fit than me.”

Reflecting on the aftermath, Bishop Obinim lamented the significant decline in his church’s membership, from over 1000 to less than 200.

I wondered why I fought with him at all.

That’s why I am advising you all: if someone wants to fight you, assess your strength and that of the person and never try to fight.”

In a part of the video, he also admitted that he and Rev Obofour are no longer relevant in the gospel ministry as they were some years ago.

In a video he made himself, the man of God talked about his famous fight with the NPP firebrand.

He said that God told him several times to humble himself and back out of the fight, but he refused because he thought he was spiritually better than Kennedy Agyapong.

Bishop Obinim said that he was very cocky at the time, which is why he wouldn’t listen to God.

Bishop Obinim said in the video that he felt embarrassed after his fight with Kennedy Agyapong because he lost a lot of useful things.

He says that he doesn’t have protection or police dogs following him around anymore.
