2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers: I don't have a problem with Andre Ayew's call up - Emmanuel Agyeman Badu

Former Ghanaian international midfielder, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, has broken his silence on the inclusion of Andre Ayew in the national squad.

Despite the skipper's clubless status, Badu states that he brings experience to the squad ahead of the crucial encounter.

"I have been injured at club side before and when they were doing a call up that time the coach added me. The coach was asked why he added me because I am injured he told them that there are some players when you are in camp you need them there," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"The issue you want to pinpoint Andre Ayew on why he has been called because he doesn't have a team. Every national team at this stage you need your captain either he has or club or he doesn't you need him in the camp," he added.
