Bawumia and his team bribed me to be his running mate – Kennedy Agyapong

One of the aspiring presidential candidates in the upcoming November 4, 2023 presidential primary, Kennedy Agyapong, has alleged that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team attempted to bribe him to accept an offer to be his running mate.

However, the Assin Central MP claimed that he turned down their offer.

Aside from the accusation, he also asserts that the vice president is ruining the party.
He bemoaned the fact that the Vice President and a select group of his supporters intimidate anyone who disagree with them.

He made these allegations at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi, in the Ashanti region, after a march organised by his supporters.

“The Vice President and his team were intimidating party members who were not his supporters. He will destroy the NPP. If we are not careful, the Vice President will destroy the NPP”.

Meanwhile, he has sent a strong warning to Bernard Antwi Bosiako, aka Chairman Wontumi, to tread cautiously.

According to him, he will give them a showdown if they attempt anything silly against him.

Mr. Agaypong posited that he would match them boot for boot should they dare intimidate him and his followers.

He stressed that he is not like Alan Kyerematen, who resigned from the party.
