Black Sherif Releases New EP Titled ‘Take Care Of Yourself’

Black Sherif alias Blacko has released another inspirational EP titled ‘Take Care of Yourself’.

The EP which has set social media ablaze contains two tracks, ‘YAYA’ and ‘Simmer Down’.

The new songs tell a story of the challenges faced by the young artiste since he became a great artiste recognized both in Ghana and abroad.

‘YAYA’ and the ‘Simmer Down’ currently have over 4.3 thousand views on social media and other music streaming platforms.

Blacko was recently trending on various media platforms as he was arrested for breaching a contract term with Cruise People Limited.

The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Cruise People Limited, Daniel Vanderpuye in a statement on July 20, 2023, said the reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Award king was contracted to perform at the second edition of their musical cruise onboard a cruise ship-themed, Afro Cruise Jam, on August 19, 2023, in Greece.

The company disclosed that Black Sherif charged a total amount of US$40,000 for the show, and he received half the payment upfront.

The two parties agreed that the remaining US$20,000 balance would be paid after the event.

Blacko after receiving part of the payment refused to honour the agreement terms as the show was canceled by the company.

The Cruise People Ltd. later file a legal suit at the court in Accra demanding refundment of the money paid to Black Sherif.

Entertainment pundits like, Abdullai Abu Sadiq, founder of 3 Music Awards commenting on the case said what Black Sherif did may deter future investments in the music industry.
