Ghanaian rapper, record producer, entrepreneur, writer, and poet Cyril-Alex Gockel, popularly known as C-Real, in a bold and impassioned message on social media, has called out fellow celebrities for their selective involvement in the country’s politics and development issues.
The 3Music TV’s Culture Daily host took to Twitter to express his frustration at what he perceives as the deafening silence of many celebrities in the face of current economic hardships in Ghana.
In a tweet that garnered significant attention and engagement on the platform, C-Real concluded that our celebs are scared or are benefiting from bad governance.

His call is coming on the heels of the arrest of innocent citizens who decided to embark on a peaceful protest against the misrule of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia/NPP government today, Thursday, September 21, 2023.
C-Real’s call to action is not isolated but reflects a growing sentiment among various segments of Ghanaian society. Many citizens have expressed frustration with celebrities who appear more focused on their brands and endorsements than on addressing issues that affect the everyday lives of Ghanaians
