CEO of Akwaaba UK assures refunds for Ghana Party in the Park patrons
CEO of Akwaaba UK, has provided an update on the status of ticket refunds for the much-anticipated Ghana Party in the Park event.

Despite the event’s postponement due to adverse weather conditions, Tawiah assured patrons that the majority of those who purchased tickets for the original July 12 date have already received their refunds.

Dennis Tawiah in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM further clarified that the refunds are being processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

With approximately 3000 tickets to be refunded, he revealed that nearly 80% of the refund requests have been successfully processed.

“The refund process does take time, and we are making sure people are aware that they will receive their refunds.

Over 3000 people are expecting their refunds.

We have sent everyone an email and I can say that about 80% have been refunded,” Tawiah stated.

The Ghana Party in the Park event, a vibrant celebration of Ghanaian culture that has become a staple in the summer calendar, was rescheduled to August 12.

This decision came as a result of the unforeseen and unfortunate weather conditions that rendered the original date unfeasible.

Tawiah acknowledged the challenge that the event’s postponement presented to both his team and ticket holders.

He also expressed his appreciation for the patience demonstrated by the patrons and emphasized that he and his dedicated team have been working tirelessly to ensure a smooth refund process for all affected individuals.

Ghana Party in the Park Festival, now in its 19th year, continues to serve as a testament to the unity and diversity of Ghanaian culture especially amongst Ghanaians in the diaspora.

The event brings together people of all ages and genders for a day filled with joy, camaraderie, and cultural exchange.

Despite the complexities involved in handling such a large-scale refund operation, Tawiah maintained his unwavering confidence in his team’s ability to navigate the situation effectively.

He also highlighted the positive feedback they received from the police, who commended their diligence and professionalism.

Reflecting on the challenges faced, Tawiah shared his motivation to set his sights on an even grander event – one that captures the essence of Ghanaian culture on an international stage.

“If we survive this year’s Party in the Park, there’s a bigger agenda coming up.
