Ghanaian rap star and businessman Desmond Blackmore, alias D-Black
Rapper D-Black has asserted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government's President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta have deceived Ghanaians with false pronouncements.
Born Desmond Blackmore, he said this looking back on the government's 2017 declaration that it had waved several taxes for the relief of citizens and businesses.
With praise emojis, the rap star and hospitality businessman had on March 2, 2017, hailed via a tweet: "Ken Ofori-Atta [and] Akufo-Addo, thank you for the reduced and abolished taxes."
"No duty on spare parts, raw materials and petroleum," the Enjoyment hitmaker had enumerated.
Today, Friday, August 18, 2023, however, D-Black quoted the above tweet and lamented: "Chale, this be the wagadri dem take catch we all," to wit: "They scammed all of us with this. I wasn't the only victim."
