GPITP to celebrate Ghanaians who drove to London at the event on Saturday
Chief Executive Officer of Akwaaba UK, Dennis Tawiah, has disclosed that Wanderlust Ghana members who made a 10,000 kilometers road trip from Accra to London would be celebrated at this year’s Ghana Party In The Park (GPITP) event slated for Saturday, August 12.

Kwabena Peprah and his colleagues from Wanderlust Ghana, a group of philanthropists and tourism enthusiasts have embarked on a two weeks journey from the West African Country to the United Kingdom.

The participants were Richard Anim, Kwadwo Saka, Kwame Peprah, Kofi Peprah, Kwadwo Prakah-Asante, Franklin Peters and his son Quincy, Joseph, Cyprian Ed, Kwabena Ayirebi and his brother Kojo and the only female in the pack, Nana Afua Serwaa, also known as “Shecanic” touched down in London on Sunday.

They were 12 people when they started the journey but one person dropped off in Senegal because of work-related reasons and two others also dropped off in Morocco.

The trip is a feat many have praised for lifting the name and the flag of Ghana high.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, on Monday, August 7, Dennis Tawiah revealed that the gallant Ghanaians who made history would be hosted and celebrated at the Ghana Party In The Park event.

Responding to Journalist, Edem Mensah-Tsotorme, one of the pundits on the show, Mr.Tawiah said, there is a special arrangement for the members of Wanderlust who made history.

“Yes, that’s correct, we are going to host them, one of the plans is to present them to the community. There is a special arrangement for them,” he said.

Mr.Tawiah said this presents an opportunity for the community to have a photo session with them in celebration of their historic journey.

“This is a way to say thank you guys, we have a lot of media coming down, so we want to present and showcase them for the name and love for Ghana, it is part of our attraction now,” he added.

The event which will take place at Trent Park in London will feature R2Bees, VIP, Medikal, Article Wan, Quamina MP, and many others.
