Ghana Police Are So Attractive Because Of You, GPRTU Chairman Tells IGP

The Inspector General of Police and the administration of the police force have received praise from Nana Nimako Asiamah, National Chairman of the Ghana Private Roads Transport Union, for their efforts in maintaining the nation and its roads.He claims that Ghana is now safer under Dr. George Akuffo Dampare's direction."Your work has greatly impressed us; everyone can see the improvements in the police service under your direction.

At a ceremony with the officers on Tuesday at the police headquarters in Accra, the national chairman of the GPRTU declared, "We will do whatever it takes to support you.""We now understand why the police have become so attractive, IGP. You have made Ghana secure," he continued.

Please don’t be tired with Ghanaians because God has given you the love of this country”.On his part, the IGP urged members of the GPRTU to disregard any claim that the police are against demonstrations.He said the history of the county is rich with police providing protection for demonstrators and that will not change.On Monday, the leadership of the police service met with some Muslim leaders as part of police engagement with stakeholders as the year comes to a close.

The engagement with other stakeholders will continue until the end of year.
