Ghanaian Teenager Jayden Addai Scores Hat-trick To secure Win For AZ Alkmaar Against SC Telstar

Dutch-born Ghanaian young forward Jayden Addai scored three goals to propel Jong AZ Alkmaar to a resounding home victory over SC Telstar in the Dutch second-tier league on Monday evening.

It was joyful moment at AFAS Training Complex when Jong AZ Alkmaar secured their second win of the 2023/24 season's campaign after defeating SC Telstar 3-1.

The 17-year-old winger opened the scoring for the Red and White lads with a fine strike in the 23rd minute to hand his side a 1-0 advantage into the break.

With nine minutes remaining on the regulation time, Addai notched up the second goal for Jong AZ Alkmaar before the visitors reduced through Zakaria Eddahchouri in the 92nd minute of the game.

Addai restored their two-goal lead with a hat-trick on the 94th minute by ending the match in a 3-1 win for Jong AZ Alkmaar.

The budding talented attacker was in action for Jong AZ Alkmaar with Dutch-born Ghanaian young goalkeeper Rome Jayden Owusu Oduro also in post while 19-year-old striker Damienus Reverson was introduced into the game on the 89th minute.

He has scored five goals in three league matches for Jong AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Eerste Divisie this season so far.

Addai, who was born to Ghanaian parents in Amsterdam, is eligible to represent Ghana or Holland in future.

He played a pivotal role in AZ Alkmaar's 2022/23 UEFA Youth League triumph by scoring four goals and providing three assists in 8 games.
