“I’m now struggling to maintain just 200 members” – Bishop Obinim cries about his Church’s collapse


Angel Obinim has disclosed the serious consequences his public dispute with divisive politician Kennedy Agyapong has had on his congregation and personal belongings.


Bishop Obinim disclosed his losses following the well reported dispute with Agyapong in a tearful, self-recorded video that has since gone viral.

The clergyman claims that the church's membership has decreased to the point that he is lucky to have 200 people attend, compared to the thousands of people he had a few years prior.

A few years ago, Bishop Obinim and Kennedy Agyapong's tense relationship came to a head when the member of parliament was instrumental in the cleric's detention.


Bishop Obinim was arrested and his church collapsed as a result of legal charges brought under sections 208 and 159 of the Criminal and Other Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) by the NPP Party, who charged him of publishing false information and forging documents.

At last, Bishop Daniel Obinim has expressed his regret to the public for his altercation with the Honorable Kennedy Agyapong.


In a self-made film, the man of God discussed his well-known altercation with the NPP firebrand. He added that God instructed him multiple times to humble himself and pull out of the fight, but he resisted because he thought he was spiritually greater than Kennedy Agyapong.

Bishop Obinim claimed that the reason he disregarded God at the time was because he was so arrogant.

Bishop Obinim stated in the video that he was ashamed of himself since he had lost so many important items in their altercation with Kennedy Agyapong.
