Introducing James Kumbeni, the cyclist who supported Chef Failatu and her cookathon by cycling 170 kilometers from Bolga to Tamale.

Ghanaian chef Abdul-Razak Faila, also referred to as Chef Faila, is aiming to shatter the record for the longest cooking marathon held by the Guinness World Record.

Alan Fisher from Ireland now holds the record, having cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes in 2023.

The objective of Chef Faila is to cook for at least 120 hours. The Modern City Hotel in Tamale is the current location of the event. On January 1, 2024, Chef Faila started her endeavor, and she is still going strong.

Chef Faila's attempt to shatter the record is an incredible display of skill and perseverance. She has about 100 hours of cooking experience. For all budding chefs, Chef Faila's endeavor to smash the record is an inspiration.

Many people nationwide, including James Kumbeni, a biker who cycled 170 kilometers from Bolgatanga, the Upper East Regional headquarters, to Tamale, the Northern Regional capital, have shown their strong support for Chef Faila.

Mr. Kumbeni added that he rode "to support our sister" and that he had grown to love Chef Faila's perseverance from seeing her cook over the past five days.

Ghana can now be proud of her. She requires our assistance.
Bicyclist Mr. Kumbeni "usually bikes around Bolga." However, I've visited Accra, Tamale, Walewale, Navrongo, Sandema, Paga, and Nalerigu.

Although James Kumbeni is Baare, he works and resides in Bolga. Inspired by the joy of riding, he teaches at Desert Pastures International School in Bolga.
