Former President John Mahama is the target of several barbs from Bawumia, according to Dr. Ayew Afriyie, the member of parliament for Effiduase-Asokore.

His remarks follow the recent criticism of Mr. Mahama's 24-hour economic program by the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Following the election, Ghanaians have greeted party leader Dr. Bawumia with warmth, according to Dr. Ayew Afriyie, who served as his campaign coordinator in the NPP primaries.

"He has many jabs in store for John Mahama; he has a lot up his sleeve." There's no denying that. Despite the political jibes, Bawumia will tell you the alternative, where we need to go, and how we're going to get there. He declared, "He is the best man for the job."

The Vice President after an official assignment at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) made a stop at the Kumasi Central Mosque.

Dr Bawumia who was visiting the Kumasi Central Mosque for the first time after being elected flagbearer of the NPP was mobbed by the people.

In excitement, they sang in anticipation of a Dr. Bawumia-led government.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was in the company of defeated NPP flagbearer aspirant, Kwabena Agyapong and other government officials.

The Coordinator for the Zongo Development Fund, Ben Abdallah Bandah called for support for Dr. Bawumia.

In addition to doing more, President Nana Akufo-Addo has fulfilled his obligation. It's time for Dr. Bawumia to assume command. I shall exhort everyone to back Dr. Bawumia's ascent to the throne. He said, "His performance will surpass everyone."
