Sonko React After This 3 African Nations Plans To Unite To One Ruled By Military

The former Nairobi county governor has reacted to the move following the alleged plans of Mali, Burkina Faso, And Guinea to unite to create the largest country ruled by the military.

Col. Mamadi Doumbouya is the head of state of Guinea, Capt. Ibrahim Traore at 35 years is the serving president of Burkina Faso and Col. Assimi Goita is the head of the state of Mali.

The three leaders have officially announced that their countries will declare war against ECOWAS if they use force to reinstate the ousted President of Niger.

“I warn that any military intervention against Niger will be considered a declaration of war against Burkina Faso and Mali,” Col. Abdoulaye Maiga said.

This has come a few days after the Second Summit of the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum led to the adoption of the St Petersburg Declaration, which Ibrahim Traore attended.

They have decided to take the move after ECOWAS through Nigeria's president Bora Tinubu warned that there would be military intervention and sanctions against Niger if the instructions were not followed within the stipulated period.



The warning came after a 7-day deadline was issued, urging that ousted Niger President Mohamed Bazoum be freed from captivity.
