The blame lies with Akufo-Addo’s evil appointees, not with Akufo-Addo, for making Ghana what it is – Kate Gyamfua

Kate Gyamfua, the NPP's National Women’s Organizer, has expressed her dissatisfaction with some of the president's appointees, calling them “selfish and cruel.”

She told Peace FM on November 22, 2023, that the president expects his appointees to not only work for the nation's progress but also to assist party members.

She alleged that some appointees are failing to do their duty to support party members, and thus denying them the opportunities they deserve.

She said that God chose Akufo-Addo to be the president at this critical time when the world is facing economic challenges.

She said that if Mahama was the president at this time when Ghana and the world were in crisis, he might have abandoned them… because he would not have been able to handle the situation, especially paying government workers.

She said that he should stay away… because things are not going well. She also blamed the appointees for being very cruel, saying that it is not the president's job to take care of them.

The National Women’s Organizer also claimed that some appointees are hiding their positions from their own communities because of their cruelty.

She gave an example of how she could give something small to the workers around her as a gesture of kindness… and wondered why the appointees would be so cruel to them. She said that some of them cannot even visit their constituencies and hometowns because of their cruelty.

She said that some of them are appointees and CEOs, and it is shocking that their own people do not even know that they have such positions. She said that most of them are cruel, but some are good; she did not want to name names.

She said that she was unhappy with such behavior, and stressed that the women’s wing of the party is ready to take action against those who are doing such things.

She said that the women’s wing of the NPP will monitor those who help and mark them down from today. She said that they should wait for her and her deputies to deal with them.
