The Minister for Communications and Digitalization is projecting that the winner of the just-ended Super Delegates Conference is an automatic flagbearer of the NPP in the 2024 general election.


The vociferous Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, who declared her unflinching support for the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in an interview with the media, said she is clear in her mind that Dr. Bawumiai is the obvious choice.

According to her, others must support the frontrunner for victory “so if at the end of the day, a clear frontrunner emerges, I will urge the others to sit down so that we have a frank conversation about how we go into the November contest so we emerge more united, stronger, and in a better position to take on opposition NDC and to retain power for the generality of Ghanaians”.


Madam Ursula admitted that all ten aspirants are good and known to them but “the grassroots” have given them a specific instruction as to who should be voted for….”we are acting based on what the grassroots have told us-we represent them, we cannot come in and do our own thing”.



”I am hopeful that we have a clear frontrunner emerging who would have garnered the support of majority of the leadership of the party, those constitutes the delegates for this special conference and we all have a significant influence over the membership of the party and none of us are doing our own will here.”
