We're grateful for your significant role in reactivating WAMCo – MD to Regional Minister

When the president toured WAMCO facility in the Western Region in 2019

Mr Frank Bednar, the Managing Director of West African Mills Company Limited (WAMCo), expressed his sincere appreciation to Dr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, who serves as both the Western Regional Minister and the Member of Parliament for Takoradi Constituency.

Mr Bednar attributed the successful reactivation of the company to the significant role played by Dr Darko-Mensah.

In addition, the Managing Director commended the Regional Minister for his unwavering commitment and exceptional dedication to the revival of the company.

Mr Bednar extended his gratitude during the visit of H.E. Daniel Krull, the German Ambassador to Ghana, to the WAMCo facility this week.

This visit provided an opportune moment for Mr Bednar to express his thanks to Dr Darko-Mensah for his instrumental efforts in revitalising the company.

The West African Mills Company Ltd (WAMCO), a cocoa processing factory in Takoradi, was closed down in 2014 under President Mahama because WAMCO could not get cocoa beans to process.
