The ESB Touching Lives Foundation Ignite Futures: Career Guidance in Ghana’s Central Region.

The ESB Touching Lives Foundation recently organized a two-day Career Guidance workshop for Junior High School students in the Central Region of Ghana, leaving an indelible mark on the young minds eager to navigate the path to their future careers.

The schools visited were the A.M.E Zion ‘B’ and ‘C’ schools and the Apewosika MA Basic school.

The event went beyond conventional career advice, incorporating interactive sessions, insightful advice, and a unique “Career Pick and Act” activity that added a dynamic edge to the experience.

The seminar kicked off with an atmosphere buzzing with curiosity and anticipation. Engaging volunteers from different background shared their personal journeys, emphasizing the importance of passion, resilience, and continuous learning.

The students were not merely passive listeners; they actively participated, asking questions and soaking in the wisdom shared by the accomplished speakers.

One of the standout features of the event was the “Career Pick and Act” session. Students were encouraged to explore various career paths through hands-on activities and role-playing scenarios.

This immersive approach allowed them to gain practical insights into different professions, helping them make more informed decisions about their future endeavors.

The energy and enthusiasm in the room during these activities were palpable, underscoring the effectiveness of this interactive approach.

Beyond the valuable career guidance, the workshop also focused on instilling life skills and fostering a growth mindset among the students.

Workshops on effective communication, problem-solving, and goal-setting provided a holistic foundation for their personal and professional development.

Again, to reward the students’ active participation in the activities, we distributed books and bags at the various schools sparking up so much joy in the students.

We also had insightful interactions with some brilliant and confident students spotted during the activity and proposed to monitor their progress and provide them with guidance and support to grow into what they dream of becoming.

The impact of the event extended beyond the seminar room. Feedback from both students and teachers highlighted a newfound sense of clarity and motivation among the participants.

Many students expressed gratitude for the opportunity to explore diverse career options and appreciated the practical advice shared by industry experts.

As we reflect on the success of the Career Guidance Seminar, it is evident that the ESB Foundation has not only provided guidance but has sown the seeds of inspiration and empowerment.

By investing in the potential of these young minds, the foundation is contributing to the building of a future generation of leaders, innovators, and compassionate professionals.

In conclusion, the ESB Touching Lives Foundation’s commitment to fostering the personal and professional growth of Junior High School students through this impactful workshop is commendable.

The ripple effect of this event is bound to be felt for years to come, as these students embark on their educational and professional journeys armed with knowledge, confidence, and a clear sense of purpose.
