Man choses beer over marriage in court

A Zambian man left a court in awe after he chose beer for his marriage without hesitation.

The 49-year-old man Allan Kawewa told the Livingstone Local Court that he would rather lose his marriage than quit drinking beer.

Kawewa said he still loved his 47-year-old wife and that he did not want a divorce but was, however, not ready to change his drinking habits.

The couple has two children aged 29 and 22. Kawewa said he would be lost without his wife.

“Please, forgive me let things go back to where they were when we met. I still love you”
