A Ghanaian man claims that he will not take a woman out for more than Gh20 unless they are married.

A Ghanaian man disclosed that he will spend no more than GH20 on a date with a woman.
The companion stated that they would purchase kokonte for GH15 and meat for GH5, dine together, and then return home. He added that if he were married to the aforementioned lady, the amount of money spent would increase.
A Ghanaian man stated that he will not spend more than GH20 when he goes out with a woman he is courting, and that he is willing to spend what will not affect his financial situation after the date.

In a video, the man stated that he would only spend more money on a woman if they were married.

"I will not spend 300 Ghana cedis on a date. It is acceptable for me to spend 300 Ghana cedis on my wife if we are married. However, if we are dating, I can only spend GH20. After dining, we will spend 15 Ghana cedis on kokonte and 5 Ghana cedis on meat, and then retire to bed."
Explaining why he will purchase Kokonte instead of a continental dish, he stated that the local meal would be less expensive, and they could both appreciate and be satisfied with it.

"Do not expect me to purchase fried rice or any other continental dish so that you can consume alone while I am still hungry. No, I'm merely a friend."
