A Man Hurls Acid At His Ex-Girlfriend And The Man Who Stole Her Away From Him

Carpenter Onyekachi Agu was sentenced to seven years in prison for pouring acid on his ex-girlfriend Aishat Adefarati and her new companion Monsuru Ahmed.

According to reports, Agu committed the crime when he ran out of money in order to contend with the loss of his lover to another man.

It is alleged that he followed them out of the restaurant, doused them with acid, and then fled the scene, abandoning them to their fate.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Justice Oyindamola Ogala demanded that the prosecution prove the elements of Agu's single-count charge of causing grievous harm.

Mrs. Ogala believes that Agu's attempt to retract his confessional statement was a ploy to avoid punishment.

She claimed the defendant did not appear in court with his sibling, who he claimed to have been with on the day of the incident.
